Our History with Automotive Refinish
An autobody refinish distributor since 1968, api is an industry leader in the field.
We have distributed, supported and trained customers on A-Line products, inlcuding PPG, BASF and 3M for almost fifty years.
With 31 account managers covering Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and West Virginia, we are able to see first-hand how each demographic is adjusting to industry trends. By keeping abreast with industry trends, we are able to better forecast our customers' needs.
We employ three full-time technicians to train and assist in any type of customer support - be it panel repair, refinish application, color correction, software support or any other area that may need addressed. We feel it is important to have properly trained people available to our customers in their times of need. Our technicians are also available to demo any new product that the customer may want to explore.
We also offer inventory consignment service for qualified customers which allows them to keep their inventory investment low, while still having full access to all of the materials needed to repair the vehicle to pre-accident condition. Full color support is also provided by api in partnership with the specific coatings manufacturer.
Training Sessions and Classes
We have partnered with I-CAR to provide training in most of our facilities on a biannual basis. Formed by the collision industry in 1979, I-CAR is an international not-for-profit training organization. All I-CAR activities and resources focus on helping the industry achieve a high level of technical training. We also host courses offered by our manufacturers which are aimed to help our customers grow in an ever-changing industry. Simply put, we believe education and training is essential to the success of any modern collision facility.
We regularly schedule PPG MVP and BASF training classes throughout the year. We hold these classes in centralized, easy-to-access locations for our customers, including our classroom facilities in Butler, PA and Mansfield, OH.

Vendor Relationships
Maintaining close, professional relationships with our vendors is extremely important to us. Our account managers commonly schedule field work to demonstrate new products, as they hit the market. If we feel a new product will increase productivity and make a customer's job easier, we want to learn everything we can about it, train the customer and ultimately support the product with a strong relationship with our vendor.
